Cannot Play a DVD
in Windows XP

you attempt to play a DVD in your Windows XP-based
computer, you may see the following symptoms:
CD-ROM Access Is
Missing and Messages Cite Error Code 31, Code
32, Code 19, or Code 39 After You Remove Easy
CD Creator

you remove Adaptec Easy CD Creator version 5.01
or earlier or DirectCD version 3.01 or 3.01c
from your computer, your computer may exhibit
the following behavior:
Compact Disc Recorded
in Windows XP Is Missing Files or Folders or
Is Unreadable

you copy files or folders to a compact disc-recordable
(CD-R) or a compact disc-rewritable (CD-RW)
by using a compact disc recorder, you may experience
one or more of the following symptoms:
Easy CD Creator 5.0
Does Not Function In Windows XP

you attempt to use Easy CD Creator 5.0, you
may see an error message that is similar to
the following message on a blue screen, or your
computer may become unstable:
Only
One CD-R or CD-RW Disk Drive Can Be Used to
Create Compact Discs in Windows XP
Microsoft Knowledge Base Article: 294652 - When
you have a computer with more than one CD-R
or CD-RW disk drive, only one disk drive may
enable you to create compact discs. If you click
to select the Enable CD Recording on this drive check box
for either the CD-R or CD-RW disk drive that
is not enabled, the computer seems to apply
the change, but the disk drive remains disabled.
When you examine the CD-R or CD-RW disk drive
properties, the Enable option
is not selected.
The
Option to Erase the CD-RW May Not Be Displayed
In Windows XP

full, the option to erase the disk may not be
