and Encrypt Check Boxes in Windows 2000
Microsoft Knowledge Base Article: 225089 - When
you attempt to compress or encrypt folders in
Windows 2000, the Compress and Encrypt check
boxes within the property sheet of the folder
are selected and unavailable. Also, you may
